Frequently Asked Questions
1. What social media services do you offer?
The two social media services I offer are:
* Social media management
* Social media workshops
The main service clients choose is fully outsourced social media management, which means I do All The Things. I write, post, manage, analyse and continually engage with your audience. Social media workshops are the full process of what I do, made friendly and digestible enough for anyone - even someone with no experience - to be able to manage their own or their business’s social media.
2. Do you specialise in any particular platforms?
In my experience, LinkedIn is the best B2B platform, and is by far my favourite.
However I also manage Instagram, Facebook and BlueSky accounts. At the beginning of 2025 - and with the full support of my clients - I decided to stop posting on Twitter/X and have deleted my account, and won’t ever post on that platform in the future. I am not a racoon; I will not spend my time rolling around in trash.
3. Do you have a set contract length?
Nope. I work on a flexible monthly rolling contract, so if it’s not working out for either party then we can leave with one month’s notice at any point. However my longest client has been with me for 6 years and counting, so if you want someone for the long haul, that’s fine too.
4. What happens when we start working together?
We’ll spend an hour or two defining the essentials like your tone of voice and content pillars. Then we’ll explore the assets you’ve got (photography, videography, whitepapers, PDFs, case studies, testimonials, etc.) and what else might be needed. I’ll dive into your current social platforms to do a bit of housekeeping; see how your community is engaging, what’s working, what’s not, and begin crafting new content. Once we’ve got the basics right, I’ll normally begin posting a few weeks after that.
5. Can you help me grow my audience or generate leads?
Yes, and I’ve successfully done this for a variety of small to medium sized businesses over the years. However if you want instant, generic, high volume followers overnight then I’m not the right person for you. Our work together will focus on attracting your desired target audience and the people that will buy from you; this takes intention, patience and time.
6. How do you measure the success of a social media strategy?
Depends on what you want to achieve. Brand awareness? If you’re getting regular followers and engagement from your desired target audience then yes, people are becoming more aware of your brand. Lead generation? If your target audience are commenting on posts, tagging in others, or contacting us through direct messages then that’s how we’d measure the success of lead generation.
7. Will I need to provide images or video, or will you do that too?
Yes probably, but don’t panic. If you sell a product and don’t have photography already, then I can recommend some excellent freelancers. I’ve also managed personal LinkedIn profiles with over 10k followers and their content usually involved selfies or self-recorded videos, so we can equally create these as we go.
8. How soon can we get started, and what do you need from me?
Unless I’m at capacity, then we can usually begin working together in a matter of weeks. What would be helpful from you is an email outlining your overall marketing budget, goals, target audience, summary of your brand identity and preferred social media platforms. But honestly, if you’re not sure about any of this then we can always figure it out together.
